KNOWLEDGE QUEST….

Dr. Tiffany Locke was born in Saanichton and raised in Nanaimo and was highly active in local sports including competitive swimming, water polo and rowing. After high school she was selected to be a part of the prestigious Page Program in the House of Commons in Ottawa. She developed a curiosity for learning and the human mind and thus she completed a Bachelors degree with specialization in Psychology from the University of Ottawa.  After a sports injury and seeing a Chiropractor, she was motivated to pursue a career in this field. Tiffany completed her Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2011 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto after completing internships with a clinical focus in interdisciplinary care and rehabilitation.

After chiropractic college Dr. Locke dedicated herself to gain knowledge as an evidence based chiropractor working with a special interest in rehabilitation. She spent her early career in Ontario gaining experience and learning through post graduate seminars.  During this time she completed advanced rehabilitation training in post-concussive, vestibular, TMJ rehabilitation as well as receiving advanced training in neck, low back and chronic pain rehabilitation protocols.

Dr. Locke is full body certified in Functional Range Release®: an advanced and comprehensive system of musculoskeletal assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation utilized by leading manual medical practitioners. Dr. Locke is also certified in Functional Range Conditioning® and Functional Range Assessment™: a system of mobility assessment and training based on scientific principals and research.

Dr. Locke focuses on integrating evidence-based practice into clinical treatment. This includes utilizing clinical research, practical experience and patient preferences to develop effective plans so that patients can move towards better management of their overall musculoskeletal health. As such Tiffany is dedicated to bringing the most up-to-date clinical research for her patients.  

Dr. Locke believes that healthcare is collaborative. She works with local area clinicians to develop interdisciplinary relationships to improve patient care and outcomes. She has the opportunity to collaborate with other healthcare professionals including physicians, physiotherapist, optometrists, kinesiologists, occupational therapists, dentists, psychologist.

In her spare time Tiffany enjoys hiking, swimming, biking, climbing, skiing and trying new outdoor activities. Tiffany is passionate about physical literacy and developing healthy communities and  is proud to be serving the Cowichan Valley and Vancouver Island.
